We have found a small U.S. maker of hoses that only uses the finest fittings along with food grade tubing to make its hoses. With the Made in China hoses you never know what contaminants you might be getting since there is no regulation or oversight.

Not just any Polyurethane compound should be used to make quality, long lasting coil and straight garden water hoses. Only top quality, drinking water safe, Ether-based Polyurethane is used to make the Water Right hoses. Cheap China made hoses are made from substantially lower quality compounds like Ester-based Polyurethanes, cheap plasitcs and PVC fillers and are not designed for long term use with water and are not drinking water safe. Quite frankly you have no idea what contaminants might be present in the materials of a cheap hose. When you consider that cheap hoses, besides being potentially unsafe, will not last as long and will not give as good service; then paying more for a quality USA hose may be the better buy. Consider that hoses made from Ether-based products will generally last for 5-10 years or more. Quality Components: The next equally important step in making a quality product are the parts we design to take your watering hose experience and our product to the next level. We start with specially machined brass parts to guarantee leak-free connections rather than using cheaper plastic fittings; we then install pressure sensitive nylon clamps surrounding the fittings that ensure solid leak-free connections to the hose that never come off; and lastly we install high-density rubberized hose kink guards over these clamps on both ends of the hose to eliminate any possibility of the hose collapsing or kinking to a closed position when pulled taunt from the faucet.
