The Sleepmate 580A White Noise Machine is the single speed version of the ever popular Sleepmate 980A. Same fan-like sound; same long history of success. The Marpac Sleepmate 580A has been around for a long time with only minor tweaks through the years. The long history and large following of the Sleepmate 580A is testament to its effectiveness as the best white noise machine around. It uses an internal fan to generate a pleasing, fan-like white noise that makes this the most popular white noise machine in the world. The only problem some people have with the Sleepmate machines is that they do not go to a loud volume.
